This is me i played the younger brother, in our group we decided that i play the part because I look younger than Anthony. also my house was being used for the film, so this made it easier to set up filming.

This is Kennedy Nsubuga in our group who did the majority of editing,worked the camera and directed the film.

This is Anthony Gabriel-Lawson who plays the older brother in the film. in our group we chose him to play the older brother as her looks much older than me ( younger brother played by Emmanuel Ogunfojuri also because he is in our group it is much easier to get in contact,discuss and set up times to film.

This is the kitchen we used for when the younger brother is talking on the phone and when the older brother gets something to eat.

This is where the younger brother and older brother have an argument. also when the younger brother is speaking on the phone, watching TV sleeping on the couch, turning up the Radio and messing up the living room. for the older brother, this is where he cleans up the lving room and turns down the radio

MAGAZINE REVIEW PAGE: Analysing design and language conventions of magazine reviews

Through the use of the internet i researched other film review magazines such as "empire", "film review" and the internet movie database . and it came to my attention that film review are written in a informal chatty style, also in a film review magazine humour is used. this is used to continue to engage the audience and make the reading experience enjoyable to the reader. For example in the magazine review of the film "fun with dick and jane" the whole of the text is written in second person. and in the last paragraph of thw film review "Dick and Jane proves as much fun as watching a crooked fat can get his comeuppance". this is an example of sattire humour.

MAGAZINE REVIEW PAGE: Researching different film magazine audiences

Through the use of the internet i discovered site and sound magazine. Sight and sound magazine mostly reviews films from the British Film Institute. Also sight and sound magazine reviews magazines from a narrow art release. sight and sound also features a full cast and crew credit list for each reviewed film.

In contrast, Empire doesn't review irreverent or "serious" films as sight and sound magazine. but Empire magazine review both mainstream and art films.

FILM POSTER: Drafting / editing

This is the layout of our film poster.

We then took our pictures.

We cut this image out picture using microsoft fireworks

Then through the use of Adobe fireworks, we then merged the pictures together



Finally,by using Microsoft publisher we added in all the text and effects.

FILM POSTER: Setting up mise en scene

our film poster was shot in a bedroom we chose to use this as we wanted to give clue to our audience, wanted show that our film is about sleep. Also in the film poster the bedroom s messy is in between the two characters in the film this could show tension between the characters.

FILM POSTER: Sketching possible images/fonts

This is our first idea for a title design we chose the clours black and white becaue these colours contrast and stand out. what we also did to make it stnad out is use a bold font. we did not use this font in our film poster simply because it too plain.

n this style of font we played around with the background and made it black and we change the style of our font with a fade effect.

in this style of font we still kept the background black. we chose not to use this font as it seems to complicated. this will draw to much attention to itself thereby distracting the audience from the film poster image.
this style of font is bigger than the font. We chose this font as it looks much bolder than the other font but at the same time it is simple. also the style of font is transparent this brings curiousity tothe audience.


In this sketch of our film poster, the image of a bed is in the background along with the younger brother. in the foregorund is the picture of the older brother. in the sketch of the film poster, we wanted to get the message across is that our film is based on sleep which is why we came up of the idea of an image of a bed.

in this film poster sketch the image of the older brother is in the foregound and the image of the younger brother is in the background. we came up with this idea because the fact that the younger brother in the background can represent the younger brother as cunning and hidden. and this will have an effect on the older brother, because he is in the foreground this illustrates a relationship with the younger brother and also. this show he is the main focus of the film.
